Her goal was Earth... but sneaking aboard a cargo ship might not be the most auspicious beginning to a journey, or the best way to travel.
I was gifted with a copy of this story, and voluntarily reviewed it. I switched to the Unlimited version when it was published. This is the second book in this series I have read, and I decided to review before reading the included prequel teaser, or copy of book 1, to help keep my thoughts clear.
This story stands well on its own, has some wonderful descriptions of the home world, and built a culture I enjoyed exploring. Each story has explored different types of characters, and different aspects of the society, leaving me curious what the next one will delve into, and giving me an additional reason to want to read the first story.
This is a interesting and intriguing book to read and I really enjoyed reading it. The book covers a young woman (Silver Brooks) who does not want to marry anyone she does not want or love even though the local government has made it a mandate for her to marry within 12 months, she then decides to stowaway on a airship. This ship is attacked by Kalazaron warriors and everyone on board is taken as slaves. Silver Brooks is given to a Kalazaron warrior (Korin). Commander Yan, a cruel and evil Kalazaron wants Silver and means to get her. What you will find in this book is drama, intrigue, suspense, escaping from a mining planet, stowaway on ship, attacked, a slave, attempted rape, saved, a crash, shelter, sleeping, projection, his home, Korin's betrothed mate (Lukah Bres), Silver on show, crying, an offer to buy, a trade, told to run, choosing a slave over his betrothed, going to rebels, information, a fight, taken to rebel hideout, lust, emotional feelings, love and a erotic scenes. The story-line and plot is well thought out and written. The characters have emotional feelings with needs and desires according to their personality. I would recommend this book to people that like to read a good alien romance with a HEA.

Silver Brooks wants more to life than getting married to a miner and staying on her barren planet. She wants adventure and decides to hide herself on a ship heading to Earth. But when her ship inadvertently enters the wrong airspace, she may get more adventure than she bargained for!
Sergeant Korin Hafah just wants to be general. He has plotted and fought his way to the top and even set himself up with a betrothed with the right connections. Why then is this bedraggled little human female getting under his skin?
With Mean Girl betrothed, creepy General Yun and his exploitative machinations there are plenty of characters to get your teeth into and just hate. Korin does see the error in his political ways and I loved how he finally realised that Silver was all he really needed! Great wee book

This was a good escape. It kept my interest throughout. I would recommend to anyone who likes fantasy. Leaves you craving more.
